KLF Media Inc. Nominated Twice for the 2017 HR Awards

On September 14, 2017, more than 600 attendees discovered the results of the prestigious HR Awards during a gala evening at the Liberty Grand, Toronto.

We want to come back on our double nomination for the 2017 Canadian HR Awards in the following categories:Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion” and “Canadian HR Team of the Year (Fewer Than 500 Employees in Canada)”.

If customers’ enthusiasm is often the main concern of businesses, we also want to remind everyone about the importance of employee engagement and job satisfaction.

“All HR representatives and leaders dream of seeing growing interest and employee engagement spread in the teams they manage,” says CEO François Fortier. “We are here to help businesses deploy key employee engagement drivers. And we must practice what we preach!”

In fact, KLF chose to tackle the issues of employee engagement and employee loyalty, whether when helping businesses or applying the concepts in-house.

Among our 10 core values, we find “Embrace differences”, “Build true relationships through open communication” and “Create happiness around you”. KLF is making a point of creating a working environment that promotes the power of positivity and is a fair reflection of the Canadian rich diversity.

“When we talk about diversity and inclusion in the work environment, we need to think about how diverse the workforce pool is and what we should do as employers to include and accommodate every type of employee,” says HR coordinator Gina Radu.

“Here at KLF Media we put in place HR policies that offer flexibility in our work environment and work-life balance,” she adds. “For example, when we are organizing special events outside the office as a reward, we always bear in mind that our team members come from different backgrounds and that they like different activities, food, etc. Also, when we are hiring we don’t think about where the candidate is coming from, but what they are bringing to the table. The determination and loyalty can’t be taught. The skills on the job, yes. That’s why our 35 employees are coming from 16 different countries. We are as diverse as Montreal. We adapt.”
